The Families, the Houses & the Designed Exterior of 7 Homes in Joplin

Following the devastation left behind by the EF5 tornado on Sunday, May 22, 2011, the residents of Joplin MO immediately cried out for help. And who better to reach out to than Ty Pennington and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition?

Thankfully, the show responded in a way that no one might have expected – it wouldn’t just rebuild one house in one week for one family… Instead, they’d rebuild seven houses for seven families in seven days.

From a materials perspective, Ply Gem, as a manufacturer of nearly everything that “dresses” the outside of a house was identified as an ideal supplier. And because of the Designed Exterior by Ply Gem we were able to help make a neighborhood of seven custom houses a reality. Together with the Extreme Makeover team, we carefully made plans to create seven unique home exteriors that would reflect the personalities of the families.
